¼ cup melted unsalted butter
¼ cup melted almond butter
2 ½ cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 cup white sugar
1 cup brown sugar
2 eggs
1 cup chocolate chips
Method:
Pre-heat oven to 190°C (375°F).
Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt.
Melt the butters togther in a saucepan over a low heat or microwave on half power until melted. Pour into the bowl of the mixer. Add the sugars, then cream with the butter on a medium speed. Add the eggs then mix until thoroughly combined. Slowly mix the flour in until well combined, then add the chocolate chips.
As with previous chewy chocolate chip cookie recipes, pre-chill the dough to help retain shape. Spoon the dough onto baking sheets, pat down and bake for 12 minutes (or until the edges just start to go golden brown).
Cool and store your chocolate chip cookie stash in an airtight container, or simply eat them all before they get cold and then make some more..!
