Method:

Heat oven to 190°C (375°F).

Sift together the flour, baking soda and salt.

Melt the butter in a saucepan over a low heat or microwave on half power for 20 seconds or so until melted then pour into the bowl of the mixer. Add the sugars and cream the sugar and butter on a medium speed. Add the egg, egg yolk, milk and vanilla extract then mix until thoroughly combined. Slowly mix the flour in until completely combined, then add the chocolate chips.

To help retain shape in the oven, pre-chill the dough. Spoon the dough onto parchment-lined baking sheets at a rate of 6 cookies per sheet, pat down and then bake for 15 minutes (or until golden brown). You can check the cookies after 5 minutes and rotate the baking sheet to ensure even browning if you like perfection!

Cool and store in an airtight container, or be a greedy pig and eat them all before they even get cold!
